United Together for a Week of Action
Time & Location
About the Event
June 22 – 26, 2020
Every year, UNA-USA brings Americans from across the country to Washington, DC to hold meetings with Members of Congress in support of a strong U.S.-UN partnership. This year looks different — with every effort to stop the spread of COVID-19, we won’t be coming together to climb Capitol Hill. But we’ll still be making the case for the UN’s work to Congress in more ways than ever.
Through the many challenges that our planet has faced, the UN has stood by as a symbol of international cooperation. From promoting human rights, to protecting the environment, to advancing global health and well-being, the UN is stronger when it is united for a future that works best for everyone, everywhere.
The COVID-19 pandemic is proof that we need the UN. And right now, the UN needs American support and American voices.
We may be practicing physical distancing, but our movement will be united together for Week of Action. From June 22 – 26, our message will be heard on Capitol Hill (or wherever our Members of Congress are quarantining.) We’re calling on all UN advocates to participate in the Week of Action, an opportunity to stand united for a better world, a brighter future and a stronger UN. Help strengthen our movement.
