Hugo Neu Corporation: Local Implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
Abstract
Vision New Jersey 2030 is a strategic initiative of the UNA-USA Northern New Jersey chapter, seeking to partner with city agencies, universities, and businesses to localize the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The program wishes to increase stakeholder awareness on UN SDGs, advocate for their importance, provide guidance and support to the localization of SDGs, and showcase the community effort throughout the implementation process.
Biography
Dr. Usha Rao is currently serving as Vice President of Advocacy and Strategic Partnerships with the UNA- USA Northern New Jersey chapter. She is leading Vision New Jersey 2030, a strategic program of the chapter, focused on localizing the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals with city agencies, universities, and businesses in Northern New Jersey.
Dr. Rao recently retired as Director Product Development and Data Analytics after working with AT&T for 26 years. With a deep interest in the role of the United Nations and its impact to the betterment of mankind, she would like to spend a portion of her retired life working on sustainability initiatives.
Dr. Rao has a Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, and Math from National College, India, an MBA from Pace University, New York, and an MBA and PhD in Information Systems from Rutgers University, Newark, NJ.
